The impact of managed care on rehabilitation in home health care

This article defines and describes home health rehabilitation currently in practice and how it has evolved with reimbursement for those services. It discusses managed care and the impact it is having on home health rehabilitation, including what services are being authorized, coordination of multidisciplinary teams, and the effect "stepping down" care will have on scope of practice.
