A guide through the maze of viral hepatitis

Viral hepatitis poses a threat to the health of persons living in the United States. While there are clinical similarities, it is important to understand the different etiologic agents and methods of transmission in order to understand the needs of infected individuals and caregivers. This article provides an overview of the hepatitis viruses most common in this country and the activities rec ommended to prevent transmission.
