Critical Care America Westborough, Massachusetts Diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) is an emergency condition that generally requires diagnosis and treatment in a hospital emergency department. This article presents a case study of an alternate treatment choice for those patients who are knowledgeable of the signs of an impending DKA episode.
