The psychosocial needs of homebound cardiac patients and families

This article addresses the critical need to assess, monitor, and evaluate the patient's psy chological well-being following a myocardial infarction, areas that are often neglected. The authors include questions to assess the family's response to the crisis and the caregiver's level of functioning. Interventions are also included.
