The home health care team caring for the AIDS patient is in a unique position to identify early on the individual's biopsychosocial needs. This article discusses one agency's model for directly addressing these needs. The model can easily be applied to other home health agencies. The complexities involved in the diagnosis of AIDS-related neuropsychi atric disorders, as well as the need for early identification, cannot be overemphasized. Valuable, directly applicable information regarding assessment techniques, manage ment of care, and interventions by the interdisciplinary patient care team are clearly discussed, both theoretically and in case presentations.
