Pediatric HIV infection: Clinical and social management issues

Caring for children with HIV infection presents many challenges to the home health care team, yet there is no better place to care for these children. A high incidence of pediatric infection occurs in already affected families. This article summarizes clinical manifesta tions and psychosocial issues and presents AIDS services the Visiting Nurse Service of New York has developed to assist this growing population. The issues and programs presented can act as a resource for other home health agencies.
