Vision, Mission, and Team Member Commitment

Dennis P. Heinle, MBA

Capstone Corporate Leadership Development, Inc., York, Pennsylvania; National Speakers Association

Agencies that have recognized the need for vision, mission, and core values that are shared by all of their team members are in the best position to enjoy sustained profits over time, even under the Prospective Payment System (PPS). Home care agencies are perfectly postured to maximize their operational effectiveness, efficiencies, and profitability by working in teams. Agency leadership that focuses on learning from its customers and employees will reap these benefits tenfold. It will take a lot of hard work and commitment. Leader-ship is not easy!

Key Words: commitment • leadership • learning organization • teams • total quality management • training
