Training for Survival in Health Care Industry White WaterWith increased pressures on health care providers, training programs must be designed to support strategic objectives of the organization, such as reducing employee turnover or developing and providing new services rapidly. This article identifies specific actions that organizations should take to insure that their training and education programs facilitate learning, are proactive, build future organization capacity, and provide competitive business advantages. The effectiveness of training services should be primarily measured by determining behavioral changes in learners and the achievement of company's business objectives, not by the satisfaction levels of those undergoing the training.
